Build strength from the inside out with this accessible Pilates program designed for beginners and anyone looking to improve posture, stability, and overall functional movement. This class focuses on mindful, controlled exercises that help you move with more awareness and control. You'll be guided through: Foundational mat work to strengthen the core, hips, and back Standing Pilates sequences to improve balance, coordination, and lower-body strength Breath integration to enhance stability and body awareness Expect a supportive environment where modifications are offered, form is prioritized, and you're encouraged to progress at your own pace. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to build strength, increase mobility, and develop a deeper connection to their body. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat. Extra yoga mats are available to use if needed. By participating in this program, you acknowledge that you accept and agree to Guelph Public Library's Code of Conduct. Alternative formats are available as per the Accessibility per Ontarians Act by contacting Library Communications at 519-824-6220. Accessible programs and events Sensory kits are available by request at all library programs. Please let us know a few days before a program if you need any accessibility accommodations so we can plan for you. For sign language interpreters we ask for a minimum of two weeks' notice.
